Samsung today announced the SGH-D500, a feature-packed new slide-style GSM phone with a 1.3 megapixel camera.
The phone includes several key features that have become common on competitors' phones, but rare until now on Samsungs. These include Bluetooth, speakerphone, internal antenna, and 80 MB of shared memory.

Most Samsung phones to date have used partitioned memory that did not allow photo memory to be used for voice memos, etc.

Other features of the D500 include video capture (up to 60 minutes), music player (MP3 / AAC), e-mail with attachments, and a high-resolution 262,000-color display.
The SGH-D500 is tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900) and will be available by the end of the year.
